Strikes: Public sector workers protest over pensions row (UK)

Britain is facing one of its biggest strikes in years, as public sector workers walk out over proposed changes to their pensions.

Unions say hundreds of thousands of civil servants have stopped work and about a third of schools in England and Wales have been closed or partially closed.

The government say that three out of four civil servants are at work today and only a quarter of schools are closed completely. (bbc.co.uk)
